Looking for lightweight clay for your creative projects? At Zwajomi, you’ll find the high-quality lightweight clays from Padico, perfect for artworks that need to be both sturdy and ultralight. These clays feel soft when fresh, almost like marshmallow, and after drying, they become firm and light, similar to Styrofoam. Their bright white color makes them ideal for painting, offering endless creative possibilities.

1. What makes Padico's lightweight clays special?

  • Soft and moldable: Fresh out of the package, the clay feels like marshmallow, making it easy to shape into various forms.
  • Ultralight and firm after drying: Once dry, the clay retains its extremely light weight, similar to Styrofoam, but remains firm, ensuring your creations hold their shape without becoming heavy.
  • Bright white: Most types dry to a bright white shade, providing a perfect canvas for further decoration with paint or other artistic techniques.

2. Which lightweight clays does Padico offer?

At Zwajomi, you’ll find a range of lightweight clays from Padico, each tailored to different creative needs:

  • Artista: The lightest clay in the lineup, extremely soft and perfect for larger, voluminous projects. Due to its softness, it's less suitable for fine details but excellent for large-scale, airy creations.

  • Hearty White & Hearty Color: Hearty White dries bright white and is easy to paint, while Hearty Color comes in various shades, so painting may not even be necessary. Both offer a great balance of firmness and flexibility.

  • Hearty Soft: This variant is more flexible than Hearty White but retains the same bright white color. It's ideal for projects where you want extra movement or flexibility without sacrificing stability.

  • Stretching Clay Karanubi: This stretchy clay remains elastic even after drying. Karanubi is perfect for projects that require flexibility and stretch, like unique shapes or effects that need to be lightweight yet creative.

  • Water Resistant Air Dry Clay: New to the collection! This clay is water-resistant and lightweight, ideal for creations that might come into contact with moisture without losing their firmness.

3. Which lightweight clay is best for your project?

  • For larger, light creations: Choose Artista, perfect for large, voluminous artworks.
  • For colorful or paintable projects: Use Hearty White for a bright canvas or Hearty Color for instantly colorful creations.
  • For projects that need more flexibility: Hearty Soft provides extra movement without compromising firmness.
  • For unique, stretchable designs: Stretching Clay Karanubi is ideal for elastic and flexible creations.
  • For water-resistant, lightweight decorations: Opt for Water Resistant Air Dry Clay, perfect for lightweight creations that need to be moisture-resistant.

Soft polymer clay

  13-06-2023     Comments (0)

Soft polymer clay We always strive to deliver fresh products, which sometimes results in Polymer Clay that is slightly softer than desired. Normally, Cernit Polymer Clay is stored in the warehouse for approximately 3 months after production to achieve the right consistency before being shipped. However, due to our dedication to always offering fresh products, Cernit Polymer Clay is often delivered directly from production at Zwajomi. As a result, it may feel like a pliable clay, but in practice, this can cause issues for some people when working with the product.

But don't worry, we have a solution!

Roll out the clay into thin slices and place them between sheets of paper, preferably white A4 sheets. Press them firmly and let them sit for about 10 minutes. You'll notice that the paper absorbs the oil from the clay. Then knead the slices again and repeat this process a few times. You'll see that the clay becomes firmer with each repetition. This way, you can quickly get started with our fresh product! Make sure to pay attention to the proper firmness of the clay. If you go too far, you can soften it again using Magic Mix 😉.
