Cold porcelain for flowers and detailed modelling
Cold porcelain, also known as flower clay, is a smooth air-dry clay for detailed creations. It can be rolled extremely thin, making it particularly suitable for petals, leaves, miniatures, jewellery and decorative details.
Differences between Modena, Modena Soft and Porsina
PADICO Modena dries with a slightly translucent finish and remains strong and flexible after drying. It can be rolled extremely thin, making it suitable for realistic petals, leaves and fine details.
Modena can also be mixed with lightweight clay. Adding approximately 10% Artista Soft makes the mixture less translucent, more opaque and easier to paint. Modena Soft has properties comparable to this type of mixture: it is lighter, whiter and pleasant to use for flowers, dolls and decorations.
Porsina also remains flexible after drying but produces a whiter finish than Modena. This makes it particularly suitable for creations that require a bright white base. Modena Paste and Porsina glue can be used to build, join and finish creations.
