Liquid Sculpey

Liquid Sculpey is oven-bake liquid polymer clay for molds, jewellery, decorations, details and special effects.

What is Liquid Sculpey?

Liquid Sculpey is liquid polymer clay that cures in an oven. It starts as a liquid and forms a strong, lightweight and slightly flexible result after baking. It can be used for jewellery, decorations, thin layers, details and creations made in molds.

Liquid Sculpey does not air-dry and is not cured with a UV lamp. Always follow the instructions on the packaging for the correct temperature and curing time.

Using Liquid Sculpey in molds

Its liquid consistency makes Liquid Sculpey suitable for filling compatible heat-resistant molds. It can be used to create flat decorations, pendants, cabochons, small components and relief shapes. Distribute the material evenly and check for trapped air bubbles before placing the mold in the oven.

Translucent, coloured and metallic varieties

The range includes translucent shades such as Amber, Turquoise and Lavender, as well as Clear and several opaque, pearl and metallic colours. Examples include Gold, Silver, Navy Metallic, Garnet Metallic, Peacock Pearl, Fuchsia, Turquoise and Black.

Translucent and Clear varieties suit effects where light and underlying details should remain visible. Metallic and pearl colours add shine and depth to jewellery and decorations. The final result depends on the chosen colour, layer thickness and curing method.

Combining Liquid Sculpey with solid polymer clay

Liquid Sculpey can be combined with solid polymer clay to add colour accents, surface effects, filled reliefs and liquid details. It can also be used in mixed-media techniques and projects that combine several materials.

For coloured solid polymer clay, combine Liquid Sculpey with Sculpey Premo. Check that all materials used are compatible with the same curing temperature.

Preparing and curing Liquid Sculpey

Stir the product slowly and thoroughly before use, as pigments and effect particles may settle during storage. Avoid vigorous mixing to limit trapped air bubbles. Apply the material in a suitable mold or onto an oven-safe work surface.

Always follow the product-specific instructions for temperature, curing time and layer thickness. Allow the creation to cool completely before removing it from the mold or continuing with finishing and assembly.

Liquid Sculpey for retailers and studios

Liquid Sculpey expands the polymer clay range for creative retailers, jewellery makers, studios and professional users. Its translucent, coloured and metallic options suit customers working with molds, liquid effects and mixed media.
