Cut even shapes from clay
Cutters make it easy to create clean and consistent shapes from a rolled sheet of clay. They can be used for jewelry, pendants, ornaments, miniatures, figures, cards and seasonal decorations. Repeating the same shape helps makers produce matching components and consistent designs.
Makin’s stainless steel cutters in three sizes
The collection consists of stainless steel cutters from Makin’s. Each set contains the same design in three different sizes. The range includes geometric shapes such as squares, triangles and stars, as well as flowers, butterflies, animals, hands, angels and Christmas figures.
Using cutters with polymer clay
Roll the clay to the required thickness and position the cutter straight above the surface. Press it evenly through the clay and carefully lift it away. Remove the excess clay surrounding the cut shape. The piece can then be refined, textured or combined with other shapes.
The cutters can be used with polymer clay and other suitable soft modeling materials. Always remove the cutter before drying or baking the clay. Our texture sheets can be used to add patterns and raised details to the cut shapes.
Clay cutters for retailers and creative studios
Stainless steel cutters are an accessible addition to the clay and modeling-tool range of shops, online retailers, studios and workshop providers. Sets with three sizes give makers several possibilities within a single design and are suitable for beginners, jewelry makers and experienced modeling artists.
